Streamline Content Creation By Using Canva Brand Kit
For the past 4 years, I’ve been saving my logo incorrectly!
I know, you’re probably aghast right now (unless you’re also saving your logo wrong and don’t know it, see tutorial below for details).
And that’s not all!!!!
Turns out there are a lot of things I could be doing better with Canva
- Maximizing the Brand Kit
- Creating templates instead of modifying or duplicating saved posts
- Making small changes freshen up a graphic or captions before re-purposing
Sometimes I look back and what I didn’t know at the beginning and give myself a mental high-five for how far I’ve come, even if I’ve got it somewhat wrong along the way too.
At least I was brave enough to get this far. And even better, I’m brave enough to make changes as I learn more.
Reasons to Use Canva Brand Kit
- Keeps your brand cohesive
- Prevents you from wasting time hunting down brand elements
- Less decisions
- Magically put your brand colors as you update canva templates
My Favorite Ways to Use the Brand Kit
Do you love Canva? I love it sooooo much. In fact, I would continue to pay for it even if I didn’t have a business.
Recently, I learned a whole bunch ‘ol new ideas on how to use Canva more effectively using the Brand Kit function in there. As a mostly self-taught Canv user, some of these tips totally rocked my world.
Easy-to-Use Business Logos
From the beginning, I had my logo saved in my brand kit. But it turns out I saved it wrong. This meant I couldn’t change the color and I had to use background remover to adjust the graphic. Turns out there is a way to save your logo as just the image. After loading it into your brand kit, you can plop that baby onto any graphic and even change the color.
You can check out how to save your logo correctly in the tutorial below!
Save Designs as Templates
Do you have a few templates you use again and again? This totally something you do because it keeps your Instagram feed feeling cohesive and keeps you from re-inventing the wheel all the time.
Turns out you can save those favorite graphics as templates.
